Welcome to Wish Upon the Moon, Home of Freelance Writer Patricia W S Douglas

I've wanted to be a freelance writer since childhood - actually, it is more accurate to say that I've been writing since I was a little girl. Writing plays, poems, and short stories have always been at the core of what makes me happiest.

Life, as the saying goes, is what happens when you are busy making plans. After college, I worked for a year on an Indian reservation as a tribal counsel housing authority assistant. After that, I went to law school, got married, had children, practiced law, worked in the consulting arena, and as communications director for two non-profit organizations. I wrote and managed content for three websites. I did not have much time left in that schedule for freelance writing. I spent more than 20 years writing for a living - but mostly of the business, legal and technical variety. Most recently, I sold over 175 blog and web content articles for businesses using inbound marketing techniques.

My three children are grown with busy lives of their own. They work as a Systems Analyst, an Executive Assistant, and a professional composer/musician (who also happens to be a wonderful chef). Over the years, they graciously presented me with 4 beautiful granddaughters, two lovely step-granddaughters, and two wonderful grandsons all of whom keep me busy and give me inspiration.

The world changed in 2012 and I started my freelance business. I have concentrated on growing the business ever since. My latest writing projects consist of writing blogs and web content for companies that participate in inbound marketing. In addition, I have a children's poetry book in process that I hope to finish in the next couple of months.

I always have openings for freelance writing projects. If you need a freelance writer, or know someone who does, please feel free to contact me in the "Contact Author" section.  Prospective clients may also view my LinkedIn profile @ https://www.linkedin.com/in/patricia-ws-douglas-4ab5226a.
