Patricia's Poetry Place > Simon Squirrel

It's a chi chi-chi chip chipper day!

The sun's in the sky and shining my way;

I fly through the air and I land where I may,

Singing chi chi-chi chip-chip hooray!

Peaches and pears and apples taste sweet,

But, to most of us squirrels, it's nuts that are neat;

We store them and hide them in winter to eat;

Yes, the life of a squirrel can never be beat!

Sing chi-chi chi chip-chip chirree!

How marvelous - a home in a tree;

A big bushy tail and room to run free,

Laughing chi-chi chip chip-chip chiree!
